  1. I liked how you compared him with Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, and Richard Petty, and how you proved your point about how sports would be different if they did not impact their sport. I liked how you gave stats on victories and competitions he competed in. Good work.

  2. I thought it was particularly effective to show the evolution of skating and demonstrating how, before Tony Hawk, skating was just an offshoot of surfing. By doing this it gave a very real understanding of how much Hawk changed the sport without having to just say he changed it; the audience could see the change themselves. Furthermore I thought using the skateboard to show the actual movement of the 900 was a good performance choice because for someone who does not understand skateboarding it helped show that he wasn't just doing some strange spin in the air.

  3. I've always been interesting in skateboarding because I have four brothers. Skateboarding has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I did not know all the different tricks or related information to surfing! I mean what the heck was a 900, I definitely thought of that. I liked the video though, it definitely helped me understand it. I think your information, video, and presentation flowed nicely! Great job!

  8. Great presentation I learned so much. I had no Idea how much Tony Hawk changed the style of skateboarding from the traditional Dogtown surfer to the more vertical style it has become today. I also loved how you talked about his video games I had the first one for play station and it was so awesome back in the day. As for your presentation style and format You guys did a great job of not reading from your slides and not over doing your slides with too much writing so over all good job.

  9. Creating a distinct difference between surfing and skateboarding must have been difficult. Yet, it was needed in order to propel the sport as well as Tony Hawk to where they are today. This information was well presented and the video as well as the skateboard added to the understanding.

  21. I knew he was the most famous skateboarder, but I didn't know he was the key to unlocking true skateboarding. Apparently it was just another way to surf until he turned it around. I liked the presentation as well.
