  1. both of you did a great job. your thesis and three main points were clear and you both did a great job presenting! i love how you went into detail on the independent attitude betty boop has because that is why i admire her the most. i did not watch the show as a kid but had no idea all of the sexiness involved in her character. great job!

  2. What stands out in my mind was definitely how fun the videos were and I think that appeared in the rest of your presentation as well. It was a very fun and enjoyable presentation instead of just being dry facts. I also found Betty Boop's importance during the Great Depression quite fascinating because I always imagined her as being a strictly 1920's character.

  3. I have been to Universal Studios multiple times and i never quite knew what this Betty Boop character was. I was intrigued on how she played a part in the Great Depression. From when i saw her i thought she was a 20's kind of cartoon. It was interesting to see how she progressed though the times. You guys were very well prepared for this. You guys only had one notecard between you two, I could never get up there with no notecards! Great job of preparing yourself's guys!

  4. I thought you both did a great job presenting Betty Boop. I was impressed that you guys hardly used any notes and that you knew everything in detail. I really enjoyed the videos. I never really knew much about Betty Boop. I just have seen her on TV a couple times but really never knew anything about her. It was funny to hear that she had both adult humor and children like her, but did not understand the adult humor. That is pretty clever for a cartoon to be able to relate to two different age groups. Great Job!

  5. I liked the presentation because of the out side of the box look. You took a cartoon character, and made a good topic of why she is iconic. I thought it was interesting how she went from a sex symbol, to a house mom because of the ages she was attracting.

  8. I agree with the idea that Betty Boop was an iconic American figure because of her independent attitude and her ability to adapt and still be prominent. The handout added to the presentation which was done well.

  10. Your presentation was very cute and insightful. You did a good job going deeper than surface level with Betty Boop showing how dynamic she truly was. I also had no idea how short the cartoons were in reality. They seemed so much longer when I was younger.

  11. The cartoons on Betty Boop were really funny and had so much hidden meaning in them to women and society as a whole. You guys dug a lot deeper into why she was iconic rather than just surface level things. You guys spoke very clearly about the presentation, and barely looked at the notecard. Very well prepared!

  12. Great job! By far one of my favorites. I liked your fact sheet and all the facts that you guys told the audience about Betty Boop. We have all heard her name growing up but we might not have known some of the facts about her. You guys did a good job planning your presentation out and sharing evenly with the amount of talking. Great partnership!
