I learned that Louis Armstrong was quite a performer as well when playing his instrument. I never knew of the emotions he showed while playing, and it seemed like he was always hyped up. I thought everyone spoke well, and explained his iconic stature well.
I really liked your presentation! I had no idea that Louis Armstrong incorporated so many different types of music into his own. I thought that you all spoke really well and I loved the use of videos in your presentaion.
Louis Armstrong was indeed a talented trumpet player, especially in his time. The most important aspect however, was his ability to overcome racial-prejudice and advance his abilities and career. The video at the beginning of the presentation was a great way to start.
i didnt know that he had worked in a factory before. i liked watching the videos because they were kind of funny but they also showed the kind of effort that he put into his performances
Your information that you presented was very informational and makes a person respect his knowledge and talent for music. Opening with the song was a great way for the audience to see who he was and match the music with a name.
I love all of Louis Armstrong's works. He adds him own flavor to everything he sings. You guys did a great job of explaining how much he influenced the music of him time. I was very intrigued through the whole thing.
I really liked how you said that Louis Armstrong, "was a black entertainer among white audiences." It just shows how he paved the way for all Africa America as lead performers. Also how he improvised was really awesome! He had some amazing talent. The presentation was very nice. I liked how you started off with a video to get peoples attentions. Also the video that you ended with really showed his talent. All of your speaking ability was good!
I never knew how interesting of a performer he was. Everybody knew at least some of his music, but i had no idea he made all of those faces when he sang! He goes all out!The videos that where shared to use did a great job showing his performances. I could tell you guys searched for the best video possible.
The information on Louis Armstrong was very detailed and interesting. I really liked the two videos showing how much pleasure he got out of what he was doing for the people listening to him sing. You definitely proved how influential he was as a singer.
I really enjoyed your presentation! I was not sure who he was until you played his music and I tought that it was very helpful and I learned a lot about him!
I love love love love Louis Armstrong! Such an interesting topic and I love the music! Definitely my favorite because I love his music in general. You guys did a good job of describing who he was and what he stood for. The main ideas and your thesis was very clear. I like how you stated he was a black entertainer among a white audience in his time when that was not really common! great job and good topic.
I absolutely loved the last clip you decided to show I felt it gave true insight into what Louis Armstrong was really like as a musician. I had no clue he had so many songs in movies I have seen as well. I love how you shared how close music was to him and his quote on how he was there to please the people.
I've heard Louis Armstrong's music many times and yet I never knew he used all those different facial expressions. It's great that he was able to break the race barrier and have some of the best jazz music in history.
Probably the most entertaining voices I've ever heard(plus his facial expressions). It's cool that he wasn't segregated during the 1900s. The information shown was straight forward, to the point.
Great job on your presentation. I really like Louis so I enjoyed learning more about him. I think it's cool that he is widely known just for his voice.
I've always been a fan of Armstrong so I was quite impressed that you presented information I had never known about him! For instance the fact that he was one of the first musical performers to perform alone was truly fascinating. I also felt that you both spoke very fluently and effectively during your whole performance, arguably the best we heard today. The powerpoint was also excellently put together.
I really like his style of music and found what you guys had to say very interesting. The fact that he was the first african american to be on radio that was broadcasted nationally I thought was very cool. Over all you guys did a good job on content and conformance.
Good Job I liked how you told of how he brought races together in a time where that was an unlikely thing to happen. And good job showing the videos they were really cool
I had heard of Louis Armstrong, but never knew how much he meant to the world outside of music. Truly Amazing. You both definitely showed that you knew what you were talking about!
