I liked how you compared him with Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, and Richard Petty, and how you proved your point about how sports would be different if they did not impact their sport. I liked how you gave stats on victories and competitions he competed in. Good work.
I thought it was particularly effective to show the evolution of skating and demonstrating how, before Tony Hawk, skating was just an offshoot of surfing. By doing this it gave a very real understanding of how much Hawk changed the sport without having to just say he changed it; the audience could see the change themselves. Furthermore I thought using the skateboard to show the actual movement of the 900 was a good performance choice because for someone who does not understand skateboarding it helped show that he wasn't just doing some strange spin in the air.
I've always been interesting in skateboarding because I have four brothers. Skateboarding has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I did not know all the different tricks or related information to surfing! I mean what the heck was a 900, I definitely thought of that. I liked the video though, it definitely helped me understand it. I think your information, video, and presentation flowed nicely! Great job!
I enjoyed your comparisons and how you talked about how he changed the X games. Also, I liked the comparison from skate boarding to surfing. I did not realize how closely related they were.

I loved your presentation! It was very entertaining and it your slides were well put together. I really liked the video you showed and thought it went perfect with the presentation! The end where you compared Tony Hawk to other famous athletes was a great way to close. He has some very impressive stats! Glad that you shared them with us. You seemed very knowledgeable and patiently about your topic and it made it so much more interesting! Good use of props too! :))
I really enjoyed the powerpoint. I thought it was interesting how skate boarding got popular and I also enjoyed the video of Tony Hawk doing the 900. That was a really great presentation!
Great presentation I learned so much. I had no Idea how much Tony Hawk changed the style of skateboarding from the traditional Dogtown surfer to the more vertical style it has become today. I also loved how you talked about his video games I had the first one for play station and it was so awesome back in the day. As for your presentation style and format You guys did a great job of not reading from your slides and not over doing your slides with too much writing so over all good job.
Creating a distinct difference between surfing and skateboarding must have been difficult. Yet, it was needed in order to propel the sport as well as Tony Hawk to where they are today. This information was well presented and the video as well as the skateboard added to the understanding.
You guys did a great job on your presentation. I didn't really know much about Tony Hawk but after today I now understand why he is so popular. The information you put into the slide was interesting and well worded.Over all Good job.
I can tell that you guys put a lot of effort into your presentation. It was very well organized and put together. I like that you used an actual skate board to explain what a 900 was. Nice conclusion and overall thoughts. Great job!
I learned a lot from this presentation and I also thouroughly enjoyed it! I had no idea that Tony Hawk was responsible for seperating skateboarding from surfing and I found that really interesting. You both spoke very well and I loved your slides. Good Job Guys!
I never was into skateboarding so I had no idea he put the fans in the stands by his godly tricks, and his skill over everyone. Very good presentation and well organized.
The part where you said that skateboarding was based off of surfing kind of makes sense but I have never thought about that before. I dont even really think about skateboarding but your presentation made it interesting
I never realized how Tony Hawk transformed skateboarding from on the ground to in the air. I've seen Lords of Dogtown, but never really thought of how or who changed it. The presentation was really good, you guys shared the work and you had props and spoke well to the class
You guys really put a lot of work into your presentation! I could tell you really knew what you were talking about! I liked that you showed the video of him because we could see how hard that trick that he did actually was. Good Job!
I think you guys did great! I think any kind of extreme sport is amazing to watch and I agree that tony hawk is the "father" of extreme skate boarding. You guys kept me interested through the whole thing and I really enjoyed your presentation.
I really liked your presentation! It was great that you used actual clips of him performing so that we could see what he is all about. I could tell that you guys had personal interest in him and that made it a lot more enjoyable to learn about him!
I never realized how popular his video games actually were. I also never really knew what exactly in skateboarding made him so famous. I though it was amazing how you tied in your video with your presentation. The catch phrase you said before showing the video was awesome.
It was really awesome to hear about how the 900 came about and to she the video when he actually did it!The first thing that stuck out to me was how you compare the pictures of skateboarding and surfing. It was really interesting. Your presentation was really organized and you both did a great job!
I knew he was the most famous skateboarder, but I didn't know he was the key to unlocking true skateboarding. Apparently it was just another way to surf until he turned it around. I liked the presentation as well.
