  3. I really liked the videos and songs that you chose for your presentation because they really helped to show what you wanted to show. Also I had no idea that someone that was so influential on rap and r&b was a musician from the 60's

  4. During the presentation it was stated that James Brown's music and dancing style have influenced modern music. I agree with this because performers before him didn't have the level of flash he did and performers after him tried to match his style of dancing while singing. The use of videos was very helpful in the explanation of his influence but took away from the speaking in the presentation.

  5. I thought it was really interesting the way that the more recent singers style in dancing is related to how James Brown danced. It was great that you showed videos to let us actually she the comparison.
Your presentation was over-all pretty good. It had very many videos in it which was nice to watch, but at sometimes it was distracting from your main topic.

  6. The content of your presentation was fun filled and interesting. Have the music videos was a great way to show how his history is important and ties in with today. I also agree with presenting the information the only great way to show/explain him is by the videos. You can not explain his music and dance. Words do not justify his talent with music.

  7. I really enjoyed your presentation. I liked that you guys used videos to support your points. The conclusion ended the presentation nicely. I did not know about James Brown's affect on rap music.

  8. I agree with alot of what you guys had expressed about James Brown, I love his music and I believe he has had a great impact on the way many artists make music and perform today. I agree with Rodney that the extent of the videos took away from the message a little bit even though I understand that you need to experience him not just be told about him. Good job guys

  9. It was very interesting with the videos you shared with us. You really could see the progression through the years.

I never knew that James Brown recorded over 800 songs, that is crazy.

  10. I didn't know Brown was much of a dancer despite his age. I also didn't know he was a major influence on how Micheal Jackson is today. Good job on the speaking part.

  13. I thought you had a really good presentation. I had no idea that he wrote 800 songs during his career along with influencing Michael Jackson. The videos were a good visual aid to use but I felt there were a few too many.

  14. I like how you related your work to so many different musicians, and even though he was more soul music he had a big influence on other eras. I like that you guys talked about his dancing along with his vocal talants.

  15. I thought you guys did a good job on your presentation. Showing all of the videos helped show how he inspired his way of dance into today's dance. Although the videos were a very good touch i think that there should have been maybe some more facts on him, took away from the message a little bit. Good job overall!

  16. I liked all the videos in the presentation, they really helped me understand who James Brown was. I think my favorite part of the presentation was all the stats that you contained. I mean he had over 800 songs! Wow and even that he lost seven pounds a night when he danced, that is amazing! I think he was very influential to the music world and I can understand that more now with the help of your presentation! good job.

  17. Your presentation was probably my favorite of the day. I learned a lot about James Brown from your presentation. I loved your side by side comparisons to different musicians from today. I did not know he was such a huge influence on R&B and hip hop. Also, I did not know how much he revolutionized the music community through song and dance.

  18. Your presentation was very entertaining and fun to watch. You both did a good job explaining how he changed the way music is today. I like his song Say it loud(I'm black and I'm proud) because of the movie Undercover Brother and I love that movie. Great Job.

  19. The presentation was very good and I think the inclusion of all those videos was nice because it allowed everyone to just enjoy the music the musicians created. Furthermore I think you captured his physicality very well which could have been very difficult in a simple powerpoint but you handled it quite well.

  20. Apparently, James was the inspiration for MJ. For his age he didn't look like quite the dancer. But the video proved me wrong. Loved the presentation, he's a cool guy.
