Angelina Jolie-

I am sure that all of you have heard of the famous Angelina Jolie. She may be mainly recognized for her award winning teen modeling, acting career or as a main character in Mr. and Mrs. Smith starring the gorgeous Brad Pitt but for the past five years she has been doing much more than just being a celebrity. Her fascinating story has
made me a huge fan.

Due to all of her acting and modeling sucess and being the daughter of Jon Voight, Jolie has accumulated a great amount of money over the years. She has donated over 5 million to the High Commissioners of Refugees to help supply for it's operations. She has been serving as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations for the past 10 years. Having six children of her own, three of them being adopted, Jolie has made it her mission to help others. She has traveled to several different countries suffering great poverty and disease and helps aid them in their struggles. She considers her role in the United Nations to be her most important .

What inspires me the most about Angelina Jolie is that she has not chosen one life over the other. Being so actively involved in the United Nations, Jolie is also working on the movie Cleopatra which is planned to hit theaters in 2013. She manages to play a role in society, have six children and still continue to be the phenomenal actress she has always been. Unlike most other celebs, Jolie does not get all wrapped up in the drama. I believe she is one of the strongest females in America. Unlike many others who just donate their wealth to organizations, Jolie has taken on an important role in an organization becoming hands on with helping others less fortunate that herself. Her actions prove that even making millions of dollars a year, you can still be a great mother and extend yourself to others in need.

  1. This is a great example of a person using everything they are given to help others. For these people money is not their goal. I'm glad there are people at all monetary levels willing to help others without being concerned about them benefiting. Good post!

  3. This is a great post. I agree that it is all about balance, and she is balancing a great acting career, her family, and being an active participant in things that give back. She could just donate money, but no, she is giving her time and physical effort. NICE!!
